Greetings

We are excited to organize the GPVC 2018 in the midst of the global PV expansion era. PV is now considered the only option as the clean technology that could eventually replace the fossil fuel and the nuclear power in a forseeable future. Naturally the PV installation capacity rapidly increases to over 70 GWp in 2017 and currently is expected to reach over 100 GWp by 2020. Rapid module price reduction that the world now experiences even accelerates the current installation speed.

The exciting PV growth should sustain only with the technology development both in the laboratory scale and in the industry scale. From the new material development such as perovskite to the reliability issues in the field, the scientists and the engineers should get together and share the knowledge and experience to enhance the current performance of PV.

GPVC 2018 should inherit the success of GPVC 2017, with 400+ abstracts and 500+ registrants, and serve as a better platform for the experts and the students to exchange new R&D results and make friends with each other.

We hope that we can welcome you all in Gwanju in March 2018.
